We're going to make the whole of Japan laugh this year as well, so please be kind to Takeuchi Junko who's in the line-up for Oo! Naruto Nippon.
And with that, we're having a New Year's version today.
We have prepared otoso in the stadio today and would like to broadcast with a happy mood.

[enka = a type of japanese ballard that's mainly listened by middled aged/ old folk nowadays]

I am an Orochimaru fan who would imagine Orochimaru-sama dancing in high spirits when I hear "Ike Ike Naruto" played on the radio for some reason..
He is a bad guy, but I think Oo! Naruto Nippon which is quite radical... how rude!

It's from Academy Student Kisetsu Hadori no Shokunetsu Tayori-san who lives in Oosaka. Thank you.
It's about how to practice the guitar.
"First extend your right arm to the left,
next wrap your right arm around the guitar's neck,
then practice by strumming with the pick in your left hand.
This makes quite good practice."
Well it seems to have become quite different, with the three of us going "tatatatata..."

Well I joined the Folk Song Club in junior high, but it was only for a year... only a year!

Well actually, I'm learning the Shamisen now.

NARUTO
Isn't the shamisen difficult?

OROCHIMARU
It's got similarities with the guitar from the middle.

NARUTO
But when you play the shamisen, the score looks entirely different from the guitar score, doesn't it?

OROCHIMARU
It's not just notes anymore.
It's got things like "tsuretsure", "terotero", "torotoro", "tojinjin" and "tsuretsure".

NARUTO
I don't understand that at all!

OROCHIMARU
Well, when you play the shamisen, it sounds something like that.

NARUTO
Well my father plays the shakuhachi.
So I was looking at those things that looked like scores, and I couldn't understand them at all.

OROCHIMARU
I see. Well it might be a bit hard to understand those.
For mine, there're numbers written on it at first. It tells you where to press. And then you there's the "tsuretsure" things beside it.

NARUTO
"tsuretsuretsure"?
But a shamisen doesn't have frets, right?

OROCHIMARU
That's right, it's got no frets so you'll have to get your teacher to tell you where to press.

NARUTO
So you remember it by sight?

OROCHIMARU
That's right.

NARUTO
How cool!

OROCHIMARU
And then if I get it wrong, the sensei will do this and I'll go "sensei, it hurts!" "Well you can't play like that."

NARUTO
Well in that case, you're learning from a teacher?

OROCHIMARU
Yes, I am.

NARUTO
Ah, you're really learning it properly.

OROCHIMARU
You know, I really agree that you /should/ learn it from a sensei!
You get to learn more vast and diverse things.

NARUTO
Well there's something I would like to ask although it's rather mean. You do plays too, don't you?

You sang, didn't you? It was like a musical.

I don't really like it that much, but I had to sing once so I'm took singing lessons.

NARUTO

Well I didn't really have a choice.

NARUTO
Well then, tell me about it. Actually, I would also like to take singing lessons.

OROCHIMARU

OROCHIMARU

(The Mine Layer reflects a rainbow light.)
That's why I told him it isn't supposed to be enka!

OROCHIMARU

Hisokon-san: Daisuki na nikukyuu puni puni puni. (I squish squish squish the meat-ball I love so much.)
Well, so we're going to make an ouenka like that.

What song would it become if you join all of those together?

NARUTO
Well, we've already decided on the opening.
It's Romi-chan's "Omae-san to no akushu de, tamashii wa shizukami. Sakura fubuki ga naiteru ze." and after that will Morikubo-kun's "Omae-san kara hakushu de ureshii kanibasami. Bokura tsuzuki ga ki ni naru ze.".
We don't really need to have you continue on after this, but please come up with a good phrase, a really good phrase here.

OROCHIMARU
What? A good phrase? Alright, I've got it.
Asuparuto no michi o kotsu kotsu to, ippo ippo fumisumi, tsumetai kaze ga fuite kuru.
