A drunk man hobbles in an alley and kicks an empty can. A few moments later, the man is gone. He reappears in a banquet, guzzling beer straight out of the barrel. Ordinary townsfolk are turning into maniacs for no apparent reason. The Brave Police arrive and McCrane stops the man with a stun grenade. A statue is seen at the site. The Brave Police try to catch it but it flies away.
Ayako tells the team about the statue and the legend of Inti. According to legend, Inti is an evil spirit which unleashes man's desires. For the safety of the people, Inti's body and soul were separated and sealed into two statues, the larger one being "Inti the Evil Spirit" and the smaller one, "Soul of Inti."
Both statues were brought to Japan a week earlier for an exhibition, but soon after it arrived, the smaller statue disappeared.
Ayako goes on to say that once the Soul of Inti has absorbed enough greed, the large one will be revived. Inti is said to have destroyed the entire civilization overnight in that manner.
Meanwhile, (the Soul of) Inti hunts for more sources of greed and finds a victim. One of Seia's men who joined the army just to try out the tanks fell under her spell and turned into a trigger-happy lunatic, firing at several buildings in the city. Seia arrives in a chopper, and the Brave Police respond. As McCrane prepares to fire his stun grenade, his mind starts wandering. He wonders if this man's desire was to destroy the city when all he wanted was to have his tank cannon fix. One of the shells knock McCrane's shotgun out of his hand. Drill Boy comes from underground flipping the tank on its side and throwing the man out. The man passes out and Inti turns back into a statue.
Seia apologizes for her subordinate's deed. As if he didn't even hear her, McCrane speaks out his thoughts. McCrane: Why do humans have greed? Why do they want things so bad they steal? Or destroy other people's property? It's an ugly emotion. Seia: That's certainly true. But man needs it. Life is about desires. McCrane: I'm proud that I don't have this emotion.Seia lets out a sigh at his remark. Late into the night, Seia and Ayako decide to leave the Soul of Inti statue with the Brave Police, justifying to the commissioner that they do not have the emotion Inti manipulates. Ayako offers Seia a snack, but she refuses, saying she's on a diet. The Commissioner isn't sure what to do with the statue, but McCrane confidently volunteers to watch over it. It's 2:00. McCrane leaves his seat and looks outside the window. McCrane: This city has everything. What else do people want? Why is there greed? Why can't they be content? Inti: Would you like to fulfill your deepest desires? McCrane: Sorry, but I don't have such ugly emotions. Inti: I can see your desires... As Inti tempts him, Seia's face appears.
On the road, a gang on motorcycles and cars speed along. They see McCrane blocking their way. They get excited and charge at McCrane. McCrane goes on a shooting rampage. McCrane: I will execute you all! Criminals must not be allowed to live. Just as McCrane was about to pull the trigger at the one of the gangsters, Shadowmaru grabs his arm. McCrane: I will not spare a single criminal! Move, or I'll kill you! Having her fill of greed, Inti leaves McCrane. McCrane is dumbfounded at the damage he's done. Shadowmaru guesses that McCrane's desire to rid society of crime went overboard. However, he assures McCrane that the people managed to escape. Deckerd and Yuuta arrive. Before McCrane could report what happened, Seia pops in. Bad timing. Images of Seia's face come back to him. Unable to take it all in, including the fact that he too had runaway desires, he shuts himself off and collapses.
Inti goes on to revive her body. Meanwhile, Mr. Toudou tries to revive McCrane in vain. He considers reformatting him.
Back at the city, Inti, now in her ten-story body, fires rays which have the same maddening effect on anyone they hit. Riots erupt at every turn. Yuuta and the team arrive. Deckerd forms J-Decker, but Inti was impervious to his attacks and the Build Team couldn't form Super Build Tiger. Dumpson calls Mr. Saejima and asks for McCrane. Drill Boy and Mr. Saejima's childish tendencies aren't helping any.
Seia requests the Comissioner to remove McCrane's memory units. The Commissioner reluctantly agrees and Mr. Toudou pull them out one by one. McCrane is subconciously aware of that is happening. McCrane: Am I going to die? I know my memory units will be removed. I will die. But that just means my Super A.I., my brain, will stop. Once my thought processes stop, perhaps, so will my desires. I'm about to die! As the last unit was about to be pulled, McCrane gets jolted awake. Mr. Toudou return McCrane's memory units.
Inti is still on a firing spree, this time, hitting Drill Boy. The Dumpson and Power Joe panic, as Drill Boy can pack a punch. Soccer is the only thing Drill Boy had in mind. No harm done. Finally, McCrane arrives and the team try to form Super Build Tiger. McCrane backs out, fearing what might happen if Super Build Tiger goes crazy too. Seia darts out and lets herself be hit with Inti's rays. Seia runs into a building. McCrane finds Seia pigging out on burgers. Seia turns to McCrane, levitates, and kisses him. McCrane stood there frozen like a block of ice. Suddenly, something bursts through the wall and the windows. The blast throws Seia to the floor and Inti's spell is broken. McCrane shields her from the flying debris. Seia does not spare a second to give a pep talk. Seia: McCrane, do you know why you woke up? McCrane: They were about to remove my last memory unit... Seia: You didn't want to die, right? Life itself is about desires. We humans cannot do away with them. Wanting to live longer is a desire too. McCrane, you're human too. We all have desires. Me, you, everyone. But you are actually concerned about them... I like you so. McCrane and Seia comes out of the building. Just in time, Ayako finds a way to defeat Inti. Inti can be sealed with mirrors facing each other. Crystals in the ruins where Inti was found served as mirrors. McCrane is hit again by Inti's rays and he begins shooting at buildings. The falling shards of glass served as mirrors, weakening Inti. The Build Team form Super Build Tiger and fire the Tiger Fang. The team defeats Into and falls to the ground. The Tiger Fang uses too much power. Yuuta asks why Inti's rays didn't affect him. He says he was, it's just that his desire was to beat Inti. All's well that ends well.
